Sanrio 50th Anniversary Artist Line Up! Sneak Peaks! Nerd Party!

November 03, 2010
Next week, November 12th, is the opening of the BIG Sanrio 50th Anniversary Celebration: Small Gift! JapanLA is curating the Art Show, with 50 Artists in the show, including 11 installation areas. I can finally release the list of artists participating in the show, along with some preview pics of some of the amazing art that will be for sale at the show!
Take a look at Eric Joyner's painting, "Hello Topiary." This is my dream back yard, including the robot gardner.
All the art is for sale, and yes, there will be prints for sale too! If you missed the Hello Kitty event last year, don't miss the Sanrio event this year, celebrating all your favorite characters including Hello Kitty, Little Twin Stars, Badtz Maru, and more!
Misha's "Last Supper" Painting
There are so many events within this event. So, here are some answers:
What is Small Gift?
Small Gift Los Angeles is a 10 day carnival-style event open to the public Friday, November 12 – Sunday, November 21 at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica. Small Gift Miami is the East Coast anchor event and will take place December 2 - 5, during Art Basel.
What does "Small Gift" mean?
It's Sanrio's motto: "Small Gift, Big Smile."
Joe Ledbetter's "Carpool" Painting
What will the exhibition be like?
Small Gift Los Angeles will have a nostalgic fair/midway theme and offer fans of all ages a chance to immerse themselves in the whimsical world of Sanrio.
